I did not post anything last week. Probably, because I was so busy trying to understand this really technical article that I am posting today. It is an important reminder for those of us who soak up the newest research findings in human and professional development: "Just because it's published does not mean it's true". The research world is competitive and a researcher's motivation can encourage bias in study design that significantly increases the risk of a false positive.
